Poet's first entry- Memories

In a picture locked inside a secret black box covered with yellow circles, orange triangles and blue squares.

In a friendly face with eyes that take you back ten years to a more innocent time when life would always head in the right direction.

Maybe even under a bed, over a cupboard, in an old letter, or even carried by the air, that smell.. i know that smell..

What did they really expect?

The prime minister of Denmark, where the cartoons were first published, said they had led to a "global crisis".
What did the Prime Minister of Denmark expect..GLOBAL PEACE??

The editor of Charlie-Hebdo "Criticising religion is legitimate in a state of law and must remain so,"
If Charlie-Hebdo is "so convinced" that the cartoon illustrations were legitimate then I believe he, or anyone who agrees with him, should also be willing to bear the aftermath.

As tolerant as any being is, there comes a thin line between what is legitimate and what is a "legitimate attack".It goes without saying, and high morals, that one should not attack other's religion. I believe the cartoons are an intentional attack against all muslims. Why choose the messenger of god, why not a fictional muslim character?or a terrorist?
Not many muslims would care if these cartoon illustrations were made on a terrorist because we would probably all agree on the truth behind it. The messenger of god, Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), is our prophet. It was intended to offend every single muslim.

Although I dont think that torching embassies is the right thing to do, I dont blame them. I wouldnt try to hurt anyone innocent but will do everything possible beginining with the boycotting of anything danish!!

My first Blog (BY COOK)

As the first to write this blog I would like to introduce or maybe enlighten you all on the choice of our name..POETIC COOK..

After being inspired by my friend Zena,who's blogspot just keeps me coming back for more, poet and I decided to start a Blog. We thought of many things but our interests lie in two things..poetry and cookery. She likes writing and reading poetry ( she is the daughter of a pioneer in poetry afterall) and I enjoy cooking (unfortunately,my dad is no martha stewart..)

So we have decided to just write the most random thoughts but our main stories will be centered around LONDON (our second home) and probably the MIDDLE EAST (our first home:-). )
