Summer Friends and Friends for Life :)

Time:

it was the summer of 1999. i was 15 years old, and it was the first summer i was allowed to go out with my friends unchaperoned!! as u can imagine, i was so excited, i thought to myself "i am FINALLY an adult". (yeah right) haha


Appearance:

since i thought i was a "big" girl at the time, i thought that i could finally put make-up on (not only clear lip gloss!) so i bought this white shiny and UNBELIEVABLY tacky eye-shadow from Miss Selfridge. other than my shiny clear lip gloss, that was the make up i would put on EVERY single day that summer. (thank god i'm out of that phase!!!) lol


Company:

my friends and i went out in a HUGE group, friends of friends and so on, i barely new most of them, but they were the 'cool girls' so i was happy going out with them anyway.. i was 'cool' by association :p (sad.. i know)


Fate:

i moved to london 3 years later, i wasn't in touch with any of those "summer friends" if u may. i met alot of people here, but mostly it was just me and Cook. eventually i RE-met Dawi (one of the summer group girls) we became very close over the past two years, these friends are my family now, and i love them. (Did i just hear someone say CORNY?!!!!!!!!) anywayz,,,,,,


Today:

a few weeks ago, we all got together with three of the "summer girls":
-The crazy little fashionista: NoooNz
-The ever so sweet: Halawa
and -The adorable: Mizzy
in remarkably little time, i have learnt to become very close to these new friends of mine. they have had a great impact on my life and i am glad to have been reunited with them through Dawi.

last night, we had to say our good-byes, because they r going back home to Saudi and to Kuwait. it was surprisingly emotional!!! but, we have planned a visit to the East Coast of Saudi in the summer (where they live, and where Noonz is not too far away) hopefully, it will all work out and we'll have a great time!!

HOWEVER,,,, there is one small little thing i forgot to mention.. uhhmmm.. my new friends,, have NOT GONE BACK!!! lool they r staying for a little longer as a SURPRISE! but they do not know i know! it was just toooo obvious when i got the phone call from Dawi today, sobbing about a letter she'd gotten (which by the way she failed to mention the first time we spoke) it's not that she is a bad liar, but i just know her too well.. i tried to tell her i KNEW what was going on, but she refused to surrender, and went on "sobbing".. so i guess i'll just play along until the girls FIIIIIIIINALLLLLY get to 47.. I caaaaaaan't waaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiit.. and then i'll direct them to my blog after i cry, scream, and jump in surprise that they actually did NOT leave.. nyahahahahaha.. evil me..


anyhoo,, i gotta get to Dawi's ASAP!!! but this post is dedicated to you :
