Poet
A blog by Poet and Cook.. Best Friends living in London.. No real theme,, just writing whatever comes to mind!If anyone is wondering we also combined our two favourite things in the world..BLUE & CHOCOLATE and then translated it to Japanese..AOI CHOKORETO.
Last night I was told that everyone was sleeping over at my place!! but none of us were told why. It was COOK, Dawi, Fairy and I.. Dawi finally announced that we were on a secret mission to find out who our future husbands would be. According to an old Arab myth, this would be possible by making very very salty bread (I can't emphasize how salty the bread was), u then have a piece of the bread as big as the palm of ur hand before u sleep. u canNOT tell anyone ur doing this other than the people involved in the mission. After u have the bread u go straight to sleep, and u can't drink water until the morning. Obviously u r veRRRy veRRRy thirsty during the night. Apppparently, u have dream of a man giving u some water to drink and the person u dream of becomes ur husband.

Zena..I had one of the best weeekends ever..thank you for the great company..
Saturday & early Sunday morning has been great so far..(its 6:25am btw)..
For some time now..more than I would like to admit..my head has been somewhere else..definately no where near the academic side of London , you know the Russell Square area..
its 6:05am
After waking up to find out that someone was at my house wanting to confiscate my property! Then making about a million phone calls to dad, mum, the bank, the solicitors, karima etc etc... Then having to pay a huge sum of money in order to keep a roof over my head (and my brother's and cats' heads) all for not paying my congestion charge in time... I fell asleep! A very depressing day indeed.
Poet and cook are back in London!!
9 months later (or shall i say 8 months and three weeks later),, she came into the world.. it took her grand-mum a week to name her mum and now it's been two days and the baby is still without a name.. she is the sweetest tiniest thing EVER (mashallah) awwwww..
Do you sometimes say things that you shouldnt say..but only discover that when its a bit late? Oh how I wish I could take those things back..like for example..saying 'I hate this place'..only to discover its owned by the person your talking to's relative..Well today something happened to both me and the person I was with..and just in case this person is reading my blog I better not tell you what happened..but I guess I just wanted to post this blog to make you all aware and also to reassure myself that it's so normal and happens to all of us. My advice is dont talk about someone..PERIOD!! You never know who he/she is friends with..and i dont mean backstabbing talk..just talk thats not really in favour of the person..basically a person's weakness..you may talk about how blue the sky is,for example. Or, in my case, how it doesnt stop raining..
Hanging from the ceiling by a thin piece of string that may SNAP at any moment.. Feeling vulnerable to even the light winds of March which might suddenly knock u over.. Getting irritated by the simplest delay on the part of the cab company even though it took u two hours to get ready in the first place.. Feeling purely Unprotected! Insecurity is the worst feeling ever.. In my view, a simple Yes or even No answer is much better than a May be or I don’t know! The feeling of being LOST deprives one from the right of knowing or at least the right to loose hope. To all those people out there who have left others in doubt; clarity is the biggest satisfaction; give it to the people around u. After all, pain killers eventually ware out!
